Will Smith to launch podcast about hip-hop culture

Will Smith will host a new podcast about hip-hop culture. “Class of ’88” is released October 26 on Amazon Music. Hypebeast writes about this.

“Hip-hop has been a big part of my life for over four decades. “I’m excited to share my experience and that of some of hip-hop’s biggest legends as we delve into the roots of one of the most influential music genres in history,” Smith shared.

Guests on the show are expected to include artists Queen Latifah, Salt-N-Pepa, DMC, DJ Jazzy Jeff and other stars of the rap scene. The 1988 in the title refers to the year Smith and Jazzy Jeff released their debut studio album, He’s the DJ, I’m the Rapper, whose song “Parents Just Don’t Understand” won a Grammy.

Recall that Louis Vuitton previously announced the launch of the podcast. The program will be called [Extended]. The presenter will be the French journalist and director Loïc Prigent.
