The European Parliament’s initial publication caused outrage among subscribers, especially Ukrainians. The organization thanked the commentators for their activity.

“We apologize for the oversight and are working to correct it,” the European Parliament said.

They also promised that they would release an updated version of the map later.

In the summer, The Guardian newspaper reported that British Messrs. Richard Balfe and Robert Skidelsky publicly recognized Crimea as Russian.
