Soviet and Russian actor Dmitry Kromsky died – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Kromsky was born on December 28, 1937 in the city of Makaryev. In 1963 he graduated from a theater school and enrolled in the company of the Kostroma Drama Theater named after Ostrovsky, on whose stage he would later play dozens of roles. The actor’s repertoire included productions by Leo and Alexei Tolstoy, Bulgakov (The Master in “The Master and Margarita”), Ostrovsky, Gorin, Gorky, Gogol, Fadeev.

In 1998, the actor made his screen debut in the historical drama about “Walking People” of the pre-Petrine Rus era.

“Dmitry Aleksandrovich Kromsky spent fifty years on our stage. He wrote such a bright page in the history of our theater that his name became a legend. He always appeared and left the stage to applause. He was full of optimism, he treated himself and to others, surround it with humor”, – he says in the obituary published by the theater’s press service.

The actor retired in 2013, when his health no longer allowed him to work.
