A unique biotest the size of a matchbox was created for continuous monitoring of the cardiovascular system and other systems of the human body. According to SFU scientists, the device has no analogues. It is capable of displaying the status of organs in nuances on the screen of a computer or smartphone using Bluetooth, WI-FI and cellular communication modules, the university said.

The operation of the device is based on the method of monitoring the body 24 hours a day through a mobile recorder, which will not interfere with the patient’s daily activity, even when playing sports.

One of the important capabilities of the device is the analysis of organs and systems to prevent undesirable consequences of COVID-19, but this is far from the only function of the device.

The Siberian Federal University stated that the tester can be assembled from Russian-made parts and highlighted its miniature size and low cost. A sample of the device has already been tested.

The results of the work of Siberian scientists were published in the journal Biomedical Engineering.
