Russian referee Karasev could be appointed for an official match under UEFA auspices before the end of the year

Russian referee Sergei Karasev could receive an appointment from UEFA for an official match under the auspices of the organization.

According to Sport24, this should happen before the end of 2023. Karasev can be assigned to a match with the participation of national teams or to a match in one of the European cups. Previously, the judge attended a UEFA referees’ meeting in Switzerland. Karasev successfully passed all the tests.

Since March last year, FIFA and UEFA have not invited Russian referees to work in international competitions.
