RMD, Shaffy Bello, Others Hailed For ‘The Black Book’ Performance

Netflix movie, “The Black Book” has received rave reviews from netizens after its much-anticipated release on the streaming platform.

The Editi Effiong film, which premiered on Friday features Nollywood heavyweights such as multiple award-winning actor, Richard Mofe Damijo, Shaffy Bello, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Sam Dede and many others.

The movie follows the story of a grieving father, Paul Edima played by RMD, whose son was framed and killed for a crime he did not commit.

Edima takes matters into his own hands, and wages war against a notorious police force to find justice for his son.

Many who have viewed the film took to Twitter to hail the movie’s cast and crew for a brilliant performance.

@Danielokey_ described the movie as “a mournful love letter to Nigeria. A film that tracks the evil of the past and how it fosters today’s.”

Dubbing the movie “a masterpiece!” @iamhymnofficial wrote, “Congratulations to Editi Effiong and the whole team! He took his time on this and it didn’t disappoint. Just called my brother and told him it’s a must watch! Brilliant brilliant work!
