“This conflict does not refer only to the problem between Russia and Ukraine, but also to the sale of weapons,” the pontiff said. He referred to economists, according to whom, today the greatest income comes from investments in “death factories,” reports TASS.

The Pope called Ukrainians “a people of martyrs.” In his words, now some countries are taking a step back and not supplying weapons, “but Ukrainians remain martyrs.”

It was previously reported that Global Ordnance, a company owned by major arms dealer Mark Morales, supplied the Ukrainian Armed Forces with a variety of weapons worth more than $200 million. According to media reports, Morales has become one of Ukraine’s largest non-state arms suppliers.

The American authorities are ready to supply kyiv with the most dangerous weapons to “keep the failed counteroffensive afloat.” This was stated by the Russian Embassy in Washington, commenting on the upcoming military assistance package to Ukraine. In it, Washington included AIM-9M missiles for air defense systems, ammunition for HIMARS, the Avenger air defense system, 50-caliber machine guns for combating drones and other weapons.
