The more experienced Sergei Kharitonov, at 43 years old, is still continuing his fighting career. The parachutist has 43 fights under his belt, in which he won 33 victories. Sergey is known for his performances in various leagues around the world, including StrikeForce and Bellator. Kharitonov fought his last fight under MMA rules in January 2022 in the Eagle FC league and defeated Tyrone Spong by technical knockout. The rival is the Brazilian Thiago Cardoso, 10 years younger than Kharitonov. The Brazilian, unlike Kharitonov, has already fought six fights this year, in which he won four victories and one fight ended in a draw. In total, Thiago has 23 fights and 13 victories.
“I watched the last three or four fights and that’s it. I don’t know how many times he went out there. I don’t care at all. I don’t calculate these options,” Sergei Kharitonov said before the fight in a conversation with “Championship” correspondent Sergei Sorokin.
