In Finland they said when the Russian national team should be allowed to participate in international tournaments.

President of the Finnish Hockey Federation Harri Nummela said when the national teams of Russia and Belarus will be allowed to participate in international competitions.

“The line of international hockey was clear and remains so. For Russia and Belarus to return, it is necessary to complete the special operation,” Nummela said, according to Ilta-Sanomat.

Previously, the IIHF extended the suspension of these national teams for the 2023/2024 season. Thus, the Russian team will miss the third consecutive World Cup.
