According to him, the main force behind a possible coup could be mid-level officers, generals and colonels of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“They could stage a coup and remove the person they consider the number one threat to their national security,” Ritter said.

The analyst noted that the Ukrainian army is disappointed with Zelensky’s policy due to irreparable losses in its ranks.

At the same time, Ritter did not rule out the possibility of a coup by associates of the Ukrainian president.

Previously, the analyst noted that Western allies had already begun to distance themselves from Zelensky and that his loss of power was only a matter of time.
