Two 40 mm Bofors automatic cannons with a rate of fire of 240 rounds per minute were used as cannon weapons.

Depending on the type of projectile, its initial speed ranges between 1,000 and 1,600 meters per second. The effective firing range is about three kilometers.

Also mounted on the sides of the combat module are two containers with surface-to-air missiles.

This ZRAK has a radar station and a multi-channel sighting system that allows it to detect targets without unmasking.

According to military experts, this development takes into account the experience of creating the PASARS-16 Terminator wheeled air defense system, manufactured on the platform of the FAP-2026BS/AV (6×6) all-terrain vehicle. However, there is one such weapon installed on it.

Initially, R-13M missiles were used, with a new engine and thermal head. Then the modernized weapons of the Strela-10 appeared.

As expected, this combat module can be installed on other tracked and wheeled armored vehicles.

The Marconi company tried to do something similar in the 1980s, introducing their Marksman with the Oerlikon KDA 35mm automatic.

It was claimed that this turret could be installed on any T-type tank, Chinese Type 59 (WZ-120), British Chieftain, etc. As a result, Finland acquired the air defense system in small quantities. Designated ItPsV 90, they initially appeared on the T-55A chassis and then on the Leopard 2A4.

They tried to mass produce something similar under the name ZA-35 and based on the T-72 in South Africa, but none of the foreign armies decided to put this system into service.
